Luna Aminee

My brand name comes from a mix of things close to my heart — my love of rabbits and my lifelong obsession with anime, especially Sailor Moon.

My name is Emily, and “Aminee” is how my mam pronounces my name — usually called loudly from another room — and it’s always made me smile. I later discovered that “Aminee” has Arabic origins, meaning “trustworthy” and “faithful”, qualities I genuinely hope I live up to in both my work and my relationships.

I was born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne and am now based in the beautiful city of York. After studying art and fashion design in Leeds, I feel incredibly fortunate to spend my days creating.

I’m drawn to the small, charming details in everyday life, and I love turning those moments into thoughtful designs. I often travel solo with a sketchbook in hand, capturing scenes, colours and little moments that stay with me. Many of those sketches find their way into my work, shaped by the character and stories of the places I spend time in.
